Hello everyone, been here alot in the past 9 or so months. Been on minoxidil for about 9months now before I started taking propecia I noticed hair loss like crazy, shower, whenver i ran my hands through my hair, it was gross. However, its been about 3 months on propecia and I am somewhat concerned because my hair loss has gotten to the point where its barely noticable.. I have read at certain sites that this might not be a good thing, and might be devastingly doomed for a extreme telogen effulivum… anyone have any information for me PS. my bald spot has filled in rather strangley with “cover-up” hair, this hair isnt like the surronding hair but is thicker than it was, and since using propecia, my front, well lets not get started with that but is about a billion times worse… great, i start taking propecia for a crown bald spot and now my forehead seems to grow by the minute thanks |

As of my experience you should go for hair loss treatment which would be very effective and permanent solution for hair loss |

Before you go for a hair transplant you should first consult a good doctor. Telogen Effluvium is caused by a shock due to severe physical or emotional stress. After a couple of months, the hair enters into a resting state and hair falls, which leads to diffuse thinning. Read this blog to learn more about Telogen Effluvium. |

It might be too soon to say whether or not you should go for a hair transplant. I do think that if you have seen some results while on the minoxidil you should continue to use this rather than to give in to fears and insecurities that it might not be working. Was your minoxidil prescribed to you? If so I would say that you continue to follow the instructions that you were given. However, do continue to consult with your doctor before you make any drastic changes or decisions that could adversely affect your hair growth |
