hi there, im new to this site and noticed a few people discussing saw palmetto. personally, i really never noticed much while i took it a few years back, but i know what to look for when purchasing it: look for the pills/tablets that are 160mg(take it twice a day)..make sure it has 85-95% fatty acids and the most important is that make sure it’s a standardized extract…saw palmetto and many other herbs for that matter which do not have standardized extract on the label are usually lower grade…also, and im not sure it would be available, if saw palmetto comes organically, thats the way to go.(to add to that, any food that may help with the longevity of hair spend a little more and buy organic)…..to add my two cents on the MSM debate, it is a sulfer that works well curbing pain in the joints. since sulfer(and only sulfer) is contained in every single cell in the human body, it may not hurt to try it..once again there is a standardized label for MSM but i cannot remember what it is called…bye for now

I think we don’t know exactly what is beneficial and good for us so the best things is to get proper consultation from a physician..
