Hello, I am 27 years old and have been experiencing thinning hair for a number of years. However, recently it has gotten to be much worse. My hair is falling out much more rapidly and the texture of my hair is much more coarse than it ever used to be. I have also noticed that my scalp is quite scaly at times. I have been diagnosed as having hypothyriodism for a number of years but recently I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroiditis (HAIT). I have just started seeing a highly recommended endocrinologist in Dallas. I have read HAIT can cause hairloss. I am wondering if that is truly the cause of my hairloss or if it’s something else. Have any of you out there been sucessful in reversing hairloss if it’s due to an immune disorder? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
