I’m in Australia and we can only get Finasteride at the moment.
I thought Avodart or whatever its called was going to be so much better as it blocks the other type ? etc but all I see is people discussing Finasteride or
Propecia ?
Is Avodart no good ?
Have any posters having success or not ?

After all the build up to its release there does not seem to be a lot of news/reviews/comments on it ?

Appreciate any comments as was thinking of getting a friend to get me some.

Many thanks,

Avodart hasnt been approved by the FDA yet. You better start w/propecia until they approve avodart. Avodart increases your chances of getting those nasty side effects since it is more potent than propecia. I havent seen to many people post their results with avodart in any of the forums.

I used Avodart for about 5 months and saw no difference then when I was using Propecia. People will say you have to use it for 6 months, but my hair is receding up front and I could tell I still lost a few thinning hairs during my treatment with Avodart. It seems to be in the same arena with Propecia. Some will argue that it blocks both types of DHT producing hormones and will cut overall reduction by 90%. What they are not telling you is that this 90% reduction is not in the scalp. I read on a post that this guy reduced his DHT by 80% using propecia over the course of 2 years. If you added a good DHT reducing shampoo along with Minox with Retin A you will be fine until something really worth while comes out. Don’t spend 80 dollars a month on Avodart.
